BACKGROUND & PURPOSE THE CAPE EDUCATIONAL FUND is a local, community-based, nonprofit organization to promote quality education in Cape May County Schools. It was created in July 1981 by a group of community and educational leaders. It is administered by the Board of Directors whose members are chosen because of their outstanding leadership in business, education and civic affairs.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE THE CAPE EDUCATIONAL FUND has two principal purposes. The first is to secure and distribute funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the benefit of the students in Cape May County Schools. The secondis to re-establish ties between the community and schools. The Fund provides a consistent, accountable way to support the schools on a tax-deductible basis and represents a vital link between the school and the community as a way to invest in students
